Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 16, 2026

Marry Me Juliet ("MMJ", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Elevated Business Brands, LLC.

By using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, including certain identity-verification, biometric, precise-location, sensitive-information, or optional-cookie processing, we will request that consent separately.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender, and login credentials
  • Profile Information: Photos, videos, bio, interests, preferences, location, education, occupation, and other details you choose to share
  • Compatibility Assessment: Your answers to our assessment questions, including personality traits, values, and relationship preferences. Because the compatibility assessment is a core part of the platform and is required during signup to help identify the strongest potential connections before matching, your answers may be visible to other verified users before a mutual match. You should only use our Services if you are comfortable having others view, copy, screenshot, store, or share answers.
  • Communication Data: Messages between you and other users, support communications, and feedback
  • Verification Data: To verify your identity and age, we use third-party identity verification providers, including Didit. During verification, you may be asked to provide government-issued identification, a selfie, facial image, liveness video, device information, and other verification-related information. Didit may process biometric and liveness information, extracted identity document information, fraud indicators, and verification results. MMJ receives verification results and related information necessary to operate the Services but does not necessarily receive or store all underlying identity documents, biometric templates, or liveness media processed by our verification provider.
  • Payment Information: Payment method details (processed by third-party payment processors)
  • Love Loyalty Promise Data: Marriage certificates, partner information, and verification documents if you participate in this program

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, browser type
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, time spent, search queries
  • Location Data: General location based on IP address; precise location if you grant permission. MMJ does not intend to display your precise real-time location to other users. Depending on your profile settings and platform functionality, we may display approximate distance, city, metropolitan area, or other generalized location information. You may control certain location permissions through your device or browser settings.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, error logs
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Authentication tokens, security tokens, browser or device storage, preference settings, and, if enabled, limited analytics information collected through cookies and similar technologies. We do not use these technologies to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. See our Cookie Policy for additional details and available controls.

Information from Third Parties

  • Social Login: Information from Google, Apple, or other social login providers if you choose to sign in this way
  • Verification Partners: Results from identity and age verification services

Information We Generate

  • Inferences & Scores: Compatibility scores, match rankings, and other inferences we derive from your personal information
  • Content Moderation Information: Photos, profile videos, application-introduction videos, other submitted media, automated classifications, confidence scores, moderation flags, review decisions, appeal information, enforcement history, and related technical information generated when content is analyzed for compliance with our Terms and Community Guidelines.
  • De-Identified & Aggregated Information: Personal information we anonymize, de-identify, randomize, or aggregate so it no longer reasonably identifies you

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide Our Services: Create and manage your account, display your profile, facilitate matches and connections
  • Calculate Compatibility: Use your assessment answers to determine compatibility scores with other users
  • Improve Our Platform: Analyze usage patterns, test features, improve algorithms, and enhance user experience
  • Communicate With You: Send notifications, updates, promotional messages, and respond to inquiries
  • Ensure Safety: Detect fraud, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect user safety
  • Moderate Content and Protect the Community: Analyze photos, videos, and other submitted media using automated systems and authorized human review; detect prohibited or restricted content; prevent prohibited content from becoming visible; investigate potential violations; address appeals; and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
  • Verify Identity: Confirm your identity and age to maintain platform integrity
  • Process Payments: Process one-time application fees, payment reversals, permitted refunds, and related transaction records. MMJ does not currently offer subscriptions or recurring billing.
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with legal obligations, respond to legal requests, and protect our rights
  • Love Loyalty Promise: Verify eligibility and process applications for qualified couples
  • Develop & Improve MMJ Technology: Use assessment responses, profile information, platform activity, moderation results, safety information, and de-identified or aggregated information to build, test, evaluate, improve, and operate MMJ-specific matching, compatibility, recommendation, analytics, moderation, fraud-prevention, and safety systems. We do not use government-identification images, raw biometric templates, full payment-card information, or the contents of private messages to train general matching or recommendation models. We do not provide identifiable user information to third parties to train their general-purpose artificial-intelligence models, subject to verification of our vendor contracts and configurations.
  • De-Identified Analytics: Create de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated data that we use for our own analytics, research, safety, and product improvement (we do not sell it)

3. Personal Information Sharing and Disclosure

With Other Users

The Services are a discovery platform, so much of your profile is visible to other users — including your photos, videos, bio, interests, location (City, State, Country), age, verification badges, and your compatibility assessment questions and answers (for example, in match-comparison and "deep dive" views), which other users can view before any mutual match. Real names and certain sensitive fields are generally withheld until a mutual match, but no privacy control is perfect. Once your personal information has been shown to another user, we cannot control and are not responsible for how that user may copy, screenshot, store, share, or redistribute it. Please do not share anything you are not comfortable being seen by others.

Verified Legal First Names Are Revealed on a Mutual Match

Marry Me Juliet is built on real, marriage-minded connections. To keep the platform authentic and safe, your verified legal first name (your "real" first name, as confirmed during identity verification) is automatically revealed to another member the moment you and that member become a mutual match.

A mutual match occurs when an application is accepted — for example: (a) you open an application window, receive an application from another member, and accept that application; or (b) you apply to another member's window and they accept your application. As soon as an application is accepted, both members' verified legal first names are shown to each other in the in-app messages/chat and on each other's profile and match cards.

Before a mutual match, your legal first name is withheld and a privacy-safe identity is shown instead. By creating an account and using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to the reveal of your verified legal first name to your mutual matches. Once your legal first name has been shown to a match, we cannot control and are not responsible for how that member may view, copy, screenshot, store, share, or redistribute it. If you are not comfortable with your verified legal first name being revealed to your mutual matches, do not create an account or use the Services.

With Service Providers

We share personal information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our platform, including:

  • Cloud hosting and data storage providers
  • Payment processors
  • Identity and age verification services
  • Content moderation providers (including Sightengine)
  • Email and communication services
  • Analytics providers (if enabled)
  • Customer support tools

Automated Media Moderation

We use content-moderation service providers, including Sightengine, to analyze profile photos, profile videos, application-introduction videos, and other submitted media for prohibited or restricted content.

These providers may process the submitted media and related technical information and return classifications, confidence scores, or moderation flags. We use those results to prevent content from becoming visible, restrict or remove content, route content for additional review, address appeals, and enforce our Community Guidelines.

We treat these providers as service providers processing information on our behalf and require them to handle submitted information only for authorized service, security, and legal purposes.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose personal information when required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Marry Me Juliet, our users, or others.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to or shared with the other party as part of the transaction.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
  • We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We share personal information only with service providers (under contract), other users as shown on your profile, for legal and safety reasons, and with a successor in a business transfer — as described above.
  • The contents of messages are made available to their intended recipients and may also be processed by service providers supporting message delivery, hosting, security, moderation, customer support, and platform operations. Authorized MMJ personnel and legal or safety recipients may access messages when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
  • Messages transmitted through MMJ are not end-to-end encrypted. We may access, review, scan, or process messages using automated systems and authorized personnel when reasonably necessary to operate the Services, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, or protect the safety of our users.

4. Personal Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information based on the nature and sensitivity of the information involved.

These measures may include encryption, access controls, authentication protections, logging and monitoring, vendor-management procedures, data minimization, backup protections, and incident-response procedures, as appropriate to our systems and operations.

No security system, storage method, or transmission method is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee that personal information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed without authorization.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

5. Personal Information Retention

When you permanently delete your MMJ account, we promptly remove your profile from user-facing areas of the active Services and begin the deletion process for personal information linked to your account, subject to the exceptions described below.

  • Identity Verification Information: When you permanently and voluntarily delete your MMJ account, MMJ automatically sends a deletion request or instruction to our applicable identity-verification provider, including Didit where supported. The provider's completion of that request may depend on its systems, available identifiers, security requirements, legal obligations, and permitted retention exceptions. MMJ may retain a limited verification result, ban-prevention reference, or enforcement record when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or preventing a banned user from registering again.
  • Banned Accounts: If your account is permanently banned, removed for fraud, abuse, safety concerns, impersonation, or violations of our Terms of Service, we may retain verification-related information through our verification provider for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent creation of duplicate or fraudulent accounts, protect our users, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with legal obligations.
  • Moderation and Enforcement Records: We may retain moderation classifications, confidence scores, reports, review decisions, appeal records, enforcement history, and limited copies or identifiers associated with prohibited content for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, address appeals, prevent repeat violations, protect users, preserve evidence, and enforce our policies.
  • Legal and Safety Requirements: We may retain personal information where required or permitted by law, including to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, investigate abuse, comply with legal obligations, or protect the safety of our users and platform.
  • Financial Records: Payment and transaction records may be retained for accounting, tax, audit, and legal compliance purposes.
  • Backups: Residual copies may temporarily remain within encrypted system backups before being automatically overwritten.
  • De-Identified and Aggregated Information: We may retain information that has been de-identified or aggregated so it cannot reasonably be linked to a particular individual or household. We take reasonable measures designed to prevent reidentification, maintain and use the information in de-identified form, and do not attempt to reidentify it except where permitted by law to test or validate our de-identification processes. Recipients of de-identified information must agree not to reidentify it.

Deletion does not require us to recall personal information already shared with, shown to, copied, screenshotted, stored, or redistributed by other users or third parties, or to delete de-identified or aggregated information.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal information
  • Portability: Receive your personal information in a portable format
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your personal information
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have the right to correct inaccurate personal information, appeal certain decisions, or use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

To submit a request, use the account settings where available or contact hello@marrymejuliet.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, confirm your authority, protect account security, and determine whether an exception applies. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

7. Third-Party Services

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information to them.

Identity and Age Verification

We use Didit and other identity verification providers to verify identity, confirm age, prevent fraud, detect abuse, and maintain platform integrity.

As part of this process, our verification provider may process government-issued identification, selfies, facial images, liveness captures, biometric information, extracted identity data, device information, IP addresses, fraud signals, and verification outcomes.

Didit processes this information on our behalf to perform identity verification, fraud prevention, security, regulatory compliance, and related verification services. Their processing is governed by their own Privacy Policy and Verification Privacy Notice.

Content Moderation

We use Sightengine and may use other content-moderation providers to analyze submitted photos and videos for nudity, sexual content, and other prohibited or restricted material. Depending on the integration, the provider may receive submitted media, technical metadata, and an account or media reference and may return classifications, confidence scores, and moderation flags.

Cookie and Browser Technologies

Third-party services involved in authentication, payments, identity verification, analytics, and other platform functions may set or access cookies or similar technologies when their services are loaded. Our Cookie Policy describes the categories currently used and how users can manage optional technologies.

8. Children's Privacy

Marry Me Juliet is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it immediately.

9. International Personal Information Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. We implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

10. California Notice at Collection & Privacy Rights

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to MMJ, California residents may have the rights described in this Section. MMJ may also choose to extend some or all of these controls to users even where the law does not require it.

During the preceding 12 months, MMJ may have collected the categories of personal information described below. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

MMJ does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. MMJ uses sensitive personal information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide, secure, verify, moderate, and operate the Services; process transactions; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and protect users.

To submit a California privacy request, use account settings where available or contact hello@marrymejuliet.com. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. MMJ will verify requests as required and may deny or limit a request where an exception applies.

If MMJ later begins selling or sharing personal information or uses sensitive personal information beyond legally permitted purposes, MMJ will update this Policy and implement the required opt-out or limitation controls before beginning that practice.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will apply prospectively from the effective date shown in the updated Policy. We will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate or required by law, including through the Services, by email, or through another available communication method.

Where applicable law requires separate consent for a new processing activity, we will request that consent rather than relying solely on continued use of the Services.
